Course Learning Objective:
LESSON ONE: This lesson analyzes the history surrounding the understanding and recognition of postpartum anxiety. Learners will have the ability to identify the unique circumstances surrounding postpartum anxiety’s prevalence and the challenges associated with properly identifying and diagnosing it.
LESSON TWO: This lesson identifies and describes the mental and physical symptoms commonly associated with postpartum anxiety. Learners will be equipped to recognize how each of these symptoms directly affects their postpartum client’s behavior and relationships.
LESSON THREE: This lesson demonstrates through detailed examples the ways in which postpartum anxiety can impact the doula/client relationship. Learners will acquire comprehensive tools and strategies to overcome any obstacles and will be equipped with the proper resources to best support these clients.
